UPCZ Youth/Children Ministries

Youth Ministries of the United Pentecostal Church of Zambia is steadily being developed. The department has had good leadership that have sacrificed much to provide spiritual growth for the youth of UPCZ.

One tool used successfully is leadership training seminars, geared specifically toward youth. The work has been blessed by several guests from the USA, particularly Bro. Harold Linder from Winston-Salem, NC, and other good men he has recommended.

Bible Quizzing is a tremendous blessing and encourages youth to study and memorize the Word of God. It is rewarding to see some of our Bible Quizzers who are now in ministry today, some of them as pastors.

In Zambia, 50% of the population is fifteen years of age and younger. We cannot, we must not overlook them!

Children's Ministries of the United Pentecostal Church of Zambia stresses Sunday School as an important tool in reaching children.

In 2006, Children's Ministries conducted its first crusades in two regions with over 100 children receiving the Holy Ghost. In 2007, under the direction of Pastor Given Kabangu, these crusades were held in four regions with significant results. (photo album available on Photos Page.)

The children of Zambia are a ripened harvest field. Children's Ministries Department desires your prayers for these specific areas of need:
1. Sunday School Teams to travel throughout Zambia, especially in rural regions;
2. More of a burden for Sunday School within the churches so that more adults would become qualified Sunday School teachers;
3
. A continued outpouring of God's Spirit upon the children;
4. Wisdom for spiritual direction for leaders in the Sunday School Department.
