Dr. David Livingstone was a missionary and explorer. He was the first European to travel into the interior of south central Africa, first hearing the roar of Victoria Falls, and then viewing its splendor. When he died, his remains were returned to England, but his heart was buried in Zambia.

Wildlife:
Game park safari drives are a popular activity in Zambia's parks. Land and water excursions bring visitors into close proximity to elephants, giraffes, hippos, water buffalo, antelope, sable, gazelles, zebras, crocodiles, baboons, and even big cats.

Known for its abundance of magnificent wildlife, Africa has adopted the term “The Big Five”. This popular icon is seen often and refers to the Elephant, the Leopard, the Lion, the Rhinoceros, and the Water Buffalo.
